The European Cross Country Championships were a successful event for the British team after they topped the medal table with nine medals across the board, including wins for Gemma Steel and Kate Avery – who were separated by less than a second – and Rhona Auckland.

Lauren Deadman won the senior women’s race, over 100 metres clear of second placed Georgie Bruinvels, clocking 20:48.

SEAA Masters Championships, Oxford, UK, 13 December 2014

Chris Greenwood took the M40 title almost a full minute ahead of his closest rival Eddie Ogorman to win in 33:30.
