This November, we’re getting behind the Movember campaign that raises awareness of prostrate and testicular cancer in men. The annual event sees men across the globe forgo their razors for the whole of November to raise funds to help cancer research, and grow some pretty nifty facial hair in the process too.
We’re pledging our support to the campaign, now in its tenth year, by donning a tashe taking part in some of the MoRuns around the country. Our founder Matt is the team captain and several of our writers and camera operators will be joining him. Matt would like you to join him too, either on the Vincosport team or letting us know about your own MoRun team.
MoRuns are happening throughout the length and breadth of the UK and will see thousands of runners, both beginners and serious athletes, run either a 5km or 10km MoRun with their moustaches and beards proudly on display. Ladies – or Mo Sistas – are encouraged to run with a stick on tache to show their solidarity to the cause. Participants can dress up as superheroes or Disney characters if they like or treat it as a serious run. As long as you get sponsored for Movember, you are very welcome to take part.
To mark Movember, we want you to use the hashtag #tacheandfield with your pictures and stories about Movember and MoRuns. And we definitely want to see your pics of your moustaches and beards too. We ‘ll collate the best photos sent into our Twitter account @VincoSport using #tacheandfield into regular article updates.
You can sign up for VincoSport’s Movember team here. If you can’t commit to the run (or grow a tache), we’d be very grateful if you spare a small donation for this great cause instead.
