What are your hopes for London 2012?

To win an Olympic medal after finishing 4th in Beijing.

Your favourite athletics venue?

I love Stretford in the UK but Zurich abroad.

Do you have any pre-race superstitions?

I used to have loads but I’ve managed to get out of those habits now.

Best friend in athletics?

Laura Whittle.

Pre-competition meal?

Anything light and flavourless yoghurt.

Sporting hero?

Paula Radcliffe.

Favourite music/group?

Florence and the Machine.

Do you have a motivational song, if so what is it?

Florence and the Machine – Rabbit Heart.

Favourite food?


Interesting unknown fact about yourself?

I own 50% of a chocolate shop in Loughborough.

If you were stranded on a desert island hat three items would you take with you?

Trainers, a watch and running kit.

Do you have a lucky charm?

A lucky penny my dad found whilst working at the Olympic Stadium site.

What is in your kit bag when you go out onto the track?

Spikes, water (recovery for after) and a cross necklace my granddad gave to me.
