Lynsey Sharp won the Commonwealth Athlete of the Year award from scottishathletics on Saturday night.
With Lynsey currently in America training, her mum Carol collected the trophy on her behalf.
The award was made for her 800m silver medal performance at Hampden which came following a traumatic early-season through injury and then illness in the immediate prelude to the Hampden final.
Mum Carol, in fact, feared competing would only result in another hospital admission for Lynsey, who attended the Athletes Village clinic through the night hours before the race.
