Vinco is delighted to announce that it will provide live coverage of the 2026 English Schools’ Athletics Association Cross Country Championships from Liverpool’s Sefton Park on March 14th.

The English Schools event brings together the best young athletes from all 46 English counties to compete for one of the UK’s most prestigious national titles at youth level.

This year’s championships will be held at Liverpool’s Sefton Park, a venue which has also hosted major senior events such as British Athletics Cross Challenge meets in recent years.

The six races across three age groups will feature some of the most exciting talents in English athletics, including GB Under-20 World Cross team runners Alex Lennon, Kitty Scott and Michael Clark.

“If you win English Schools, it’s kind of undoubted that you are the best in England,” said Lennon, who will be defending his title in the senior boy’s race this year.

“You are racing everyone across the whole country, including people you might not have faced before, so it obviously makes for a much more unpredictable competition.”

As in previous years, Vinco will provide extensive coverage of every race, allowing fans, friends and family members to follow athletes across junior, intermediate and senior groups.

The action begins at 12:30 GMT on March 14th and the livestream will be available exclusively on Vinco for viewers with a RunnerSpace+ subscription.

With up to 11 cameras on the ground, drone footage and action replays, Vinco will provide the highest level of professional broadcast.

The live show will include expert commentary from former ESAA athletes Harrison Mayne and Rosie Tinbergen, as well as regular interviews with competitors.

Fans can also follow the event live via exclusive images and video clips on Vinco’s social media channels.

“We are thrilled to be covering another English Schools event,” said Matthew Quine, Director of Vinco.

“We were last in Sefton Park with English Schools just before the pandemic in 2020, when our highlights show turned out to be our last broadcast before lockdown. It feels great to be back, this time with a live broadcast.

“We really want to elevate the promotion of all things English Schools, not only via our broadcast coverage but also on social media, where fans will also find a range of highlights and photos throughout the day.”

Vinco has broadcast English Schools competitions since 2018, providing regular coverage of both the Cross Country Championships and the Cross Country Cup*.

Watch live coverage of the English Schools’ Cross Country Championships exclusively on Vinco from 12:30 GMT on March 14th, 2026.

The livestream is available only with a RunnerSpace+ subscription.

Follow live social media coverage of the event on Instagram, X and Facebook.

*Vinco haven't always covered both events each year.
