Jessie Knight announces retirement 

Jessie Knight, renowned British 400m hurdler, has announced her retirement from competitive athletics.

Reflecting on her career, Knight shared, “It has been far from easy at times but I am walking away with the fondest of memories, experiences of a lifetime, lessons learnt, and some very special people to add to my circle.”

Knight’s achievements include being the fourth-fastest UK all-time over 400m hurdles, a five-time British champion both indoors and out, a World Championship 4x400m bronze medallist indoors and out, a European Indoor silver medallist, and a two-time Olympian. (Jessie Knight

Kiplimo 40:42 runs World Best over 15K

Jacob Kiplimo ran the fastest ever 15km in a standalone race at the Seven Hills Run, clocking 40:42, setting a course record. Mike Foppen (43:19) and Marc Scott (43:21) finished second and third respectively. Mizan Alem won the women's race in 46:49, followed by Diane van Es (47:51) and Enyish Mengie (49:19). Mo Farah chases down thieves who stole his phone

Sir Mo Farah, 41, chased down thieves who attempted to steal his phone outside his Surrey home. While out running with his wife, Tania, the four-time Olympic champion noticed a van pull up next to his phone, left on the side of the road. After the thieves grabbed the phone, Farah went "full throttle" and caught up with them, forcing them to return the device. An investigation is now underway into the incident. (The Sunday Times)

Chebet and Ndikumwenayo take victories at Cross Country Internacional de Itálica

Olympic champion Beatrice Chebet won the senior women's 7.542km at the Cross Internacional de Itálica in 23:32. Daisy Jepkemei (23:59) and Charity Cherop (24:35) took second and third. Thierry Ndikumwenayo won the men's 7.542km in 21:24, narrowly beating Rodrigue Kwizera (21:24) and Berihu Aregawi (21:27). (World Athletics)

Nawowuna and Gressier seal gold medals in Allones Cross

Jimmy Gressier won the Cross d'Allonnes in 23:21. Ethiopians Kuma Girma (23:22) and Milkesa Fikadu (23:25) followed. Grace Nawowuna won the women's race in 22:55, ahead of Sarah Chelangat (23:18) and Manon Trapp (23:46). (Dicodusport)

Etienne Daguinos clocks a new European record 

Etienne Daguinos set a European record in the 10km at the Urban Trail de Lille with 27:04. Meshack Lelgut (27:16) and Charles Rotich (27:18) followed. Narve Gilje Nordås set a Norwegian record with 27:31. Christine Chesiro won the women's race in 29:56, tying the French all-comers' record. (European Athletics)

National Cross Country title results

Axel Vang Christensen won the Danish Natioanl Cross Country Championships senior men's race in 23:31. Sofia Thogersen won the senior women's race in 27:23. (World Athletics)

Keelan Kilrehill won the Irish National Cross Country Championships senior men's race in 23:00. Ann-Marie McGlynn won the women's title in 27:05. (The Irish Independent)
